The FACTS… Pure and Simple

Do you need to know what is really going on? Have allegations or a complaint been made in your workplace? Did an incident occur that needs investigation and reporting on? Are employees stealing from your company? Are there questions about how an event actually occurred or what the real consequences of that event are? Is a claim legitimate or is the situation being exaggerated/falsified for someone’s personal gain?  Is someone truly who they claim to be? Does an opportunity sound too good to be true? Are you concerned that your partner might be unfaithful? Perhaps you are having trouble locating an individual, or maybe you just need to know what is happening when you’re not looking… If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, it sounds like you need an investigator.

Rocky Mountain Confidential is a fully licenced and insured private investigation agency located in Calgary, and serving the province of Alberta. We are committed to delivering thorough, professional, and of course… confidential investigative services. • a plain and simple service agreement outlining the investigative services that RMC will provide while working your case,
  • an investigative plan that is developed between you and us,
  • an active investigation that follows the plan,
  • any changes to the plan (including expenses) will be discussed as the need arises and approved by you (the client) before we take any additional actions.

Once the investigation is concluded, you will be provided with all relevant documents pertaining to your case (including the final investigative report); any still photographs, video footage, or other evidence collected during your case that is applicable.

Who hires a Private Investigator?

Employers, lawyers, insurance companies, government, property management companies, small businesses, and many more… yes, especially private citizens all regularly benefit from having a professional investigator seeking out the information and evidence needed.

It is important that you ensure the company/individual you hire as an investigator is licenced in order to avoid possible legal complications to your case. It is also worth your time to check with the Alberta Association of Private Investigators to see if the company you are considering is registered with the professional association. All security and investigation licences issued in Alberta are listed on the Government of Alberta website found here

Whether you need a situation in your workplace investigated or assessed with appropriate documentation, are looking for facts to be presented in court, seeking the solution to a problem you are having, or maybe you just want to reconnect with an acquaintance from your past… Rocky Mountain Confidential is a powerful tool to assist you, and the first step is to contact us for a free initial consultation.

Some tools commonly utilized in an investigation

There are many tools and resources that can be used by a private investigator to work your case. The investigative plan will be developed specifically with your needs in mind, but below is a brief description for some of the most common services you might see in your investigative plan.

Surveillance

All surveillance services include a detailed surveillance report along with video recordings and still photographs (if applicable).

  • Static surveillance (fixed location such as a workplace, business site, residential or other location),
  • Mobile surveillance (conducted from a surveillance vehicle),
  • Foot surveillance (indoor and outdoor).

Person Location

All person location services that are conducted for non-litigation reasons strictly abide by the privacy laws of Alberta and of Canada. We will be happy to discuss what this means for your request in more detail when we speak in person.

Skip tracing, missing persons, reconnecting with past acquaintances/long lost family, biological family location (adoption records), witness location, process serving.

Research

OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) is the practice of accessing information via the internet that is not restricted. The majority of people are unaware of (and generally surprised by) how much information is available if you know where to look. Research completed by OSINT investigation can be crucial to the success of an investigation and can be some of the strongest evidence to support your case. However… There is much more to research than just OSINT!

Event timeline verification, interviews/statement collection, public records, credit bureau, employment verification, character reference checks, database and social media searches (online presence).
